Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.
Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.
Creative Arts at Les Powell School
The Creative Arts Key Learning Area promotes self-expression and creativity in a supportive and enjoyable environment. In the modified ES1 curriculum, your child explores various art forms, music, and movement through play. As they progress into Years 7-12, the Life Skills syllabus encourages collaboration and emotional expression through creative projects. We provide opportunities for your child to work with others, express their feelings, and reflect on their experiences in a way that enhances their overall well-being and confidence.
