Wheels Towards Independence Inc. (Wheels) is a charity that supports Les Powell School.
The charity owns four buses which are used to transport students to the wider community for excursions, shopping programs and other special outings.
The buses are also used to transport students to and from school under the supervision of the special transport section of the Department of Education.
Raffles and other fundraising ventures throughout the year help support the charity paying for the upkeep of the buses as well as providing financial support for the purchase of much-needed resources for the school.
