English at Les Powell School
In the English Key Learning Area, we focus on helping your child develop essential communication skills. In the Early Stage 1 (ES1) curriculum, we use engaging stories, songs, and visual aids to encourage listening and speaking. As your child progresses into Years 7-12, the Life Skills syllabus emphasises practical language use. We provide opportunities for your child to read simple instructions, express their feelings, and interact with others in meaningful ways. Our aim is to support your child in becoming confident communicators, capable of expressing their needs and participating in everyday conversations.
